Doesn't your family rock out to The Cure during dinner? According to Amelia they are our family's favorite band.
Try not to be disgusted with my children's complete lack of table manners...perhaps we should be focused on chewing with our mouths closed and taking sensible bites, instead of dancing.
What you can't see in the video is that Henry and Miles are dancing just like their Dad, who is sitting across the table from them.

KidVentures
It was raining last week on Miles birthday, so instead of the zoo we spent a few hours playing at KidVentures, an indoor play place (along with all the other moms in San Diego). The kids were BUSY, so I only snapped a few pictures. They ran from the pirate ship to the castle to the fire engine to the disco room to the grocery store...you get the idea. They NEVER wanted to leave. Henry did have fun, but you can see he wasn't really digging the disco room.
Miles Birthday
Miles turned 3 this last week. But, if you ask him he will most likely tell you he is 4. He was slightly confused by the number of days we celebrated his birthday. The celebrations started 2 days before his birthday with a family party. Mexican food, cupcakes and ice cream, presents and games (duck duck goose, freeze dance, simon says). Also, he wanted a spiderman party, so we had spiderman cups, spiderman plates, a spiderman tablecloth and lots of balloons and streamers.
Disneyland!
A few weeks ago we went to Disneyland with Chris' college roommate, Eric, and his wife Tori and their 4 kids. Aunt Courtney and cousins Kate and Jane (experienced Disneylanders) also went with us and were very valuable guides.
I was having too much fun to take pictures. So, I only have a few.

Amelia really made fast friends with their daughter, Emily. They spent the entire day together, skipping from ride to ride and giggling. So cute!

Henry didn't have as much fun.

I think the kids favorite part was eating dinner at Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel. They got to meet so many characters.

Such a fun day. Thanks Eric and Tori for including us on your family vacation!
Also, even though I don't have pictures to document it, we spent considerable time at the gift shop on our way out of the park. After circling the store multiple times so the kids could see EVERYTHING before they picked what they wanted...Amelia finally decided on a princess nightgown and a fake cell phone. Miles picked a "trash grabber." I'm not sure what the real name is, but basically it looks like Mickey Mouse's hands. I told him he could pick up whatever he would like. He kindly explained, "It's just for picking up trash Mom."

Mother's Day
Mother's Day Sing
The classes at Amelia's preschool put on a performance for Mother's Day. Amelia loved learning all the songs, and couldn't stop grinning during the performance. When we were leaving Miles said, "Those were good songs Mia." Agreed.
