The Bump

Several family members who don't live near me and haven't seen me pregnant have been constantly requesting more photos of me...pregnant. I am not a photogenic person anyway...and that status doesn't improve with 25 extra pounds tacked onto the front of my body. Here is a photo anyway...with a month to go.

My favorite part of the photo is Amelia's little head in the corner...so cute.

Amelia Singing

Amelia is quite the little singer. And, as her parents we just can't get enough. Her repertoire is definitely growing, though we aren't sure anyone else will understand the words to any of the songs she sings.

This medley includes:

"Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam"
"All Things Bright & Beautiful"
"Maybe"
"Tomorrow"
"ABCs"

Swimming

Last year Amelia would cry whenever we went swimming. She would sob whenever anyone dove into the swimming pool.

We went swimming last weekend during a short heat wave and the results were delightfully different:

Santa Barbara

A few weeks ago we took a short family vacation to beautiful Santa Barbara. We spent the time riding bikes along the coast, eating yummy food, exploring the city, visiting the art museum, shopping, riding the carousel and enjoying the jacuzzi. We had such a wonderful time!

Wild Animal Park II

Thanks Brian for sending more photos!

First Prayer

Every night before Amelia goes to bed we follow the same routine, which she loves. Daddy gives her a bath and puts her pajamas on, I help her brush her teeth and try to brush her hair, I read stories, sing a few songs (this always includes the ABCs) and then we call for Daddy to come and say a prayer with us. She always has to hide somewhere in her room for Daddy to find her...all the while saying, "don't get us, don't get us." Chris pretends to search around the room for her...Amelia loves it.

Then, before turning out the lights we say a prayer with her. She usually picks who says the prayer...mommy or daddy. Until last week, when her answer was "Mia say it."

Her first prayer went something like this:

Heavenly Father, thank thee for this day, mumble, mumble, mumble, daddy feel better (chris wasn't feeling well), mumble, mumble, mumble, AMEN!

Chris and I both had big smiles on our faces listening to our little girl.

Since then she has said her own prayer almost every night.

Wild Animal Park Birthday Trip

It has been too long since I posted on our blog! Time is sure flying by. Here are a few photos I took during Amelia's birthday trip to the Wild Animal Park. I, of course, forgot my camera, so these are the pictures my sister Tori took.

We had a great time enjoying the animals and our family!
