Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Last week Grandma Stephanie and Grandpa Barry spent the weekend with us, while Grandpa Barry was here for work.

We pretty much spent the entire time eating yummy food, watching Amelia do the monkey bars at the park, redecorating our apartment, shopping, going to the beach, etc. We all had such a wonderful time.

You can always tell the tourists from colder locations (Utah)...because they are the crazy people playing in the water in January.

Miles

Miles brings so much fun to our family. He is always into something or planning on getting into something. But, he makes up for the all the messes he makes with lots and lots of kisses and hugs.

Miles started talking much later than Amelia, but once he started he went quickly to speaking sentences.

Here are a few of his favorite things to say:

"I no like it."
"I don't want it."
"Milk please. No water. Milk please."
"Mommy, where are you?"
"No thank you."
"Mia, Mia, Mia, Mia, Mia."

Miles LOVES his sister Amelia, who he exclusively calls Mia. Yesterday we were at the bookstore, and he was playing with the trains. She was reading a book with me and he put his face right in hers and said, "come play. trains. mia, come play."

When they are home together he wants to do whatever she is doing, eat whatever she is eating, read whatever she is reading, etc. Luckily Amelia is a good sport most of the time.

Miles LOVES to play rough and wrestle. Neither I or Amelia want to roll around on the floor and wrestle, so its great when Chris gets home and can play rough. And, as soon as Chris walks in the door Miles immediately requests for Chris to throw him in the air by saying, "go high, go high." Luckily our vaulted ceilings are extremely high and Chris can throw Miles several feet into the air...with Miles shrieking and giggling the entire time.

Miles loves cars, trucks, bikes, helicopters, balls, puppies, babies, milk and his sister Mia. And we all love him.

Christmas, Part 2

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at my parents house. My kids love to play with their aunts and uncles.

Christmas, Part 1

We opened presents early at Grandma Stephanie & Grandpa Barry's house, since we were leaving before Christmas. The cousins had such a fun time together, and the kids (of course) loved getting gifts.

Aunt Jenny Gets Married

The weekend before Christmas Chris' sister, Jenny, got married in the Bountiful, Utah temple. I couldn't make it to the sealing because I was finishing up a school class, but Chris and Amelia were there, and Miles and I joined them the next day.

The best part...well, aside from Jenny getting married...was all the time Amelia got to spend with her cousins.
