Amelia's Christmas List

One afternoon when Amelia was bored I showed her the Toys "R" Us website and asked her to write everything down she wanted for Christmas. The list in the pictures was the result of many hours spent looking at toys. In case you can't decipher her 4-year-old handwriting here is the list:

Pink Hat
Bike
Cupholder
Horn
Pink Binoculars
Pink Ipod
Pink Leapster
Hello Kitty Cosmetic Set
Olivia Costume Dress-up
Doll set with storage bag
Fisher Price Color Flash Laptop
Spunkies Jewelry Case
Shopping Fun Surprise
Rocket Pogo Stick
ZhuZhu Pets Hamster Room-Pool Room
Disney Fairy 4.5 Inch Pixie Power Playset
Flower Wallet
Barbie
Barbie Remote Control Car
Camera
-----Balance Board
Tabletop Puppet Theater

Amelia was quite surprised when she discovered Christmas morning that Santa had gotten her the hello kitty cosmetic set...she didn't know he had even read her list! She was disappointed however that her parents neglected to purchase a single item from the list.

Newport Beach Vacation

Drive up Highway 101
Lunch in Laguna Beach
Swimming At the Hotel
Spending the Day in Newport & Balboa Island (ferris wheel, arcade games, ferry ride)
More Swimming at the Hotel
Got new I Spy Books (the kids are obsessed!)
Lots and Lots of yummy food

And, the kids said their favorite part was playing with Uncle Todd.

And, though I now own two cameras-one that is permanently in my purse-I still managed to only take a few pictures. I need a new memory.

Christmas Day At the Zoo

After we opened presents and took naps we ventured to the zoo. It was a gorgeous day and we had lots of fun. Amelia especially loved using the binoculars she got for Christmas to check out the animals up close.

Christmas Morning

We locked the kids in their room before they woke up on Christmas morning, so we wouldn't miss their little faces when they saw what "Santa" brought. They were awake at 6:00, ready to go. All the presents were opened by 6:45...you would've thought it was a race to see which family could open the presents the fastest. We won.
